Tolliver spoke about diversity, commitment to principles, and his roots in the South during segregation. On 3/4/08, LTG partner Steve Burghardt participated in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Press Conference on homelessness in New York City.
Dr. Burghardt led the city's annual Homeless Outreach Population Estimate (HOPE) on 1/28/08, a research project involving over 1700 volunteers. The results of this project will be used to design more effective outreach and intervention efforts for the homeless population.
